In collaboration with BHP, the Sentient team developed the first activity as a proof of concept, designed to allow users to navigate a single-room workshop environment and use the 360-degree VR experience to train in hazard awareness.
Sentient modelled a 3D environment which included up to 32 items with varying degrees of danger, some items were deemed hazards, and some safe, to ensure critical thinking and close inspection by the user was required.
So, an immersive and interactive VR task hazard analysis learning module was created to be used on both the Oculus Go, and Oculus Quest, that was easy to navigate and catered for all levels of experience. Credit: Sentient Computing music: bensound.com
