beer never broke my heart

The brewery Stella Artois made an event called Christmas Market in December 2019 to promote the brand in the city of Rio de Janeiro. A special beer packaging was produced so that each label had a QR Code and the guests of the event could enjoy an augmented reality (AR) experience.

At the event there was a booth in which participants recorded a video with a Christmas message to someone special. The message was linked to the QR Code of each label and upon receiving the gift and accessing the application, the gifted person pointed the camera to the bottle and an enchanted world of Stella emerged on the screen.

The recorded message was traked and transmitted in the packaging itself. The result was a unique AR experience, bringing the people closer to the brand. Credit: midiadub
